Correspondence, manuscripts, legal records, genealogy, campaign material and photographs relating to the Ellinwood and Rounsevell families. The collection is chiefly personal correspondence between family members, particularly during World War I; however, there are references to business matters including the acquisition of the Arizona Daily Star in 1924 and campaign materials of Everett's bid for governor in 1926. There are manuscripts by Elizabeth Rounsevell concerning Progressivism, socialism, labor and taxation and reminiscences by Kate and Nelson Rounsevell about their volunteer service in World War I. Also present is a docket of disposition of cases tried before the U.S. District Court between 1893 and 1896, and copies of indictments from 1910 to 1916. These court cases involve draft avoidance, smuggling, the Chinese Exclusion Act, the sale of liquor to Indians, a Holbrook News case about the Clifton-Morenci strike, and 1914 indictments concerned with inciting Pimas to rebel against the United States.
